The Indiana Men's Ultimate Foundation (IMUF) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to helping young men enrolled at Indiana University to learn and play the sport of Ultimate.  Our mission is to teach values of teamwork, leadership, and dedication through the game and to faciliate an inclusive environment full of camaraderie, passion, and love on and off of the field.  IMUF was created in 2020 by a group of individuals who formally participated in the Hoosiermama?s Ultimate program while attending Indiana University and many of us continued playing the sport of Ultimate after graduating.  We are excited to share our experience and help spread the sport of Ultimate to more people around the world.

Great question!  All donations will go towards covering current and future program expenses, which include hotel costs, tournament bids, travel expenses, etc.  A portion of donations will go directly to the current team with the balance being invested in a low-fee mutual fund at Vanguard holding a diversified mix of stocks that we intend to grow over time.  We have developed a schedule outlining the distributions to the current team each year, which are based on the annual donations raised as well as the size of the investment account at the beginning of the year.  Our goal is to grow the investment account to a level where its annualized gains are sufficient to cover 100% of the team's expenses thereby making the program free to all students interested in participating.

We are grateful for all donations, big or small.  As you can imagine, it is difficult for young, full-time students to come up with the money required to fully participate in the program and we don't think that's right.  Fortunately, we have a growing network of Hoosiermama?s alumni across the globe and many of us are in a much firmer financial footing compared to when we were students.  Imagine the impact we could have on the program if we created a system whereby the alumni donate each year to help support and grow the current team? 

Yes!  The board of directors is committed to helping to financially support both current and future Hoosiermama?s programs.  This year, the board of directors has committed to matching all donations raised, dollar for dollar, up to $3,780.  This means that if we can raise at least $3,780 in donations from non-board members, the board of directors will contribute an additional $3,780 to IMUF.  Help us get there!

Yes!  The Indiana Men's Ultimate Foundation (IMUF) officially became an IRS approved 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization in August 2021.  Receipts will be provided for all donations - if you have any questions or would like to request a receipt for a recent donation, please email Taylor Kraemer.
